December is here and that means a very busy month for Puppet Showplace! This month we kick off our Winter Transformations Series as part of our 40th Anniversary Season. We have six--that's right, SIX--different shows in the series, starting this week with King Midas by Liz Joyce and A Couple of Puppets! There are only six performances so make sure to get your tickets fast!

About the show: A greedy king learns lessons of love in this delightful musical performance, inspired by the famous Greek myth. Award-winning puppeteer Liz Joyce brings a cast of colorful hand puppet characters to life, including King Midas, the Green Witch, and a friendly raccoon. Find out how they help to save the day in this fun and interactive show, featuring the original songs “Give me Gold,” “Love Makes the World go Round,” “Learn Your Lessons,” and more!
Also this month: The classic children's storybook comes alive with The Velveteen Rabbit by Applause Limited. That is followed by our Puppet Playtime Holiday Sing-a-Long on December 17th, which is already filling up fast! After that, Tanglewood Marionettes performs the timeless tale of Cinderella, and then Crabgrass Puppet Theatre puts on the hilarious Mr. Punch's Christmas Carol! We round out the month with the National Marionette Theatre's gorgeous production of Beauty and the Beast! Then, starting in January we are featuring The Joshua Show by the very talented Joshua Holden. Had enough holiday entertainment yet??
