About the Show

Little Chucky, a boy with a dream, heads to the Wild West. Along the way, he meets a mysterious cowboy who takes him to a remote western town that is being harassed by a seedy group of outlaws. Pretending to be a local hero — “The Banana Kid” — Chucky leads an effort to outsmart Big Bad Bart and bring justice back to the town.

The Legend of the Banana Kid features 20 glove, mouth, and rod puppets, handcrafted by co-creator siblings Erik and Brian Torbeck and Robin (Torbeck) Erlandsen, and is performed with expert comedy in their signature zany style.

Please note that while there are no guns in this show, audiences should be prepared for a mustache-twirling villain and a whole bunch of flying and twirling Styrofoam bananas.

Length: 50 minutes
All ages welcome, especially enjoyed by ages 4-9
Mixed puppetry styles: hand, rod, and mouth and rod ("Muppet style")
Language: English
