Returning to Puppet Showplace Theater for the first time since their sold-out visit in 2013, Les Sages Fous brings us back to their eerie-yet-inviting world of metamorphosis and transformation with this U.S. premiere performance.
Doors will open at 7:30 pm and we invite you to join us for preshow refreshments. After the show, stay for a reception and conversation with the artists!

About the Artist
Les Sages Fous is an internationally renowned theater company founded in 1999 in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec. Their shows are visual adventures that intrigue people of all ages, origins, social class and cultures, and have been presented in over 250 international theater festivals in 28 countries on 4 continents.
Jacob Brindamour (actor-puppeteer, puppet movement training, co-author) grew up in a theater family, where puppets adorned the walls. He became, despite himself, a fourth-generation actor and founded Les Sages Fous, a theater company that allows him to follow his wildest dreams and to sail the seven seas.
Jacob learned mask theater and puppetry with Paul-André Sagel (Centre national des arts du cirque, France), Carina Bonan (Espace Catastrophe, Brussels), Eric Bass (Sandglass Theater, Vermont), Nina Dimitrova (Credo Theatre, Bulgaria), Claire Dancoisne (Théâtre de la Licorne, Lille), and Nicole Mossoux (Mossoux-Bonté, Brussels).
Jacob focuses on puppet movement and exploration. He is a puppet tamer — Les Sage Fous’s puppets are not complete until they have passed through his hands, finding their weak spots, breaking them, and improving them. Jacob has participated as creator and performer in all the company’s shows and has toured all over the world with their productions.
