About the Host

Susan Linn, an older white woman, poses with an orange duck hand puppet

Susan Linn’s astonishing career has taken her from the set of Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood to the front page of the New York Times. Through it all, Audrey Duck, her ageless avian sidekick, has provided cheeky, occasionally neurotic, always truthful commentary.

An author, psychologist, and award-winning ventriloquist, Susan Linn, Ed.D., is a world-renowned expert on creative play and the impact of media and commercial marketing on children. Her book Consuming Kids has been praised in publications as diverse as The Wall Street Journal, and Mother Jones and helped launch the movement to reclaim childhood from corporate marketers. Her work has been featured on Good Morning America, Today, Sixty Minutes, Dateline, The Colbert Report, and the acclaimed documentary The Corporation. Her most recent book, Who's Raising the Kids?, was published in 2022. Learn more about Susan at consumingkids.com
