Welcome to our 2008/2009 Puppets at Night season of distinctive, provocative, and groundbreaking puppet theatre for adult audiences.

This season we will present four of our very popular PuppetSLAMs.

The PuppetSLAM has been around approximately 10 years and is the cornerstone of our adult puppetry series. The SLAMs are a frenzy of different puppetry styles, themes, and skill level. We present first timers, amateurs, and professionals on the same stage. Our goal with the SLAM is to always present variety and to evoke something from our audience; this could be wonder, enlightenment, or sometimes just a good hard belly laugh.

It isn't that puppetry for adults is a form of "adult entertainment". The wording simply implies it has more complex themes, adult appropriate humor, and sophistication. The shows chosen are designed to entertain, sometimes to challenge, often to inspire, and, as always, to dazzle you with the breadth of puppetry that is available.

Another aspect of our Puppets at Night series is our Puppet Incubator. In this bi-monthly drop-in session participants are encouraged to discover, discuss, and design their own puppet projects. Everyone is welcome to attend and there is no limitation on your interest and involvement in the Incubator. Puppetry has no limits.
